IMPACT HOSTS INTERNATIONAL INTERFAITH FILM FESTIVAL

The NAIN Interfaith Film Festival (NIFF) will be the first international, interfaith film festival to be held in New York City. NIFF welcomes submissions of any work, of any length that includes faith, ethics, belief, or values-based themes.

NIFF is dedicated to the work of film and video makers that focus on the realities of the inter-religious world we live in and the challenges those differences present. NIFF serves as a platform and as an opportunity to showcase the voices of innovative filmmakers from across North America and around the world. NIFF encourages young and old producers to share their messages about faith, belief, values and conflict.

Background

NAIN hosted its annual conference (NAINConnect2004) in the Big Apple from July 24-27, 2004. The Connect paralleled the NAIN Interfaith Film Festival (NIFF), the first international, interfaith film festival to be held in New York City. This groundbreaking festival was both long overdue and sorely needed. NIFF featured the work of film and video makers that focus on the realities of the inter-religious world we live in and the challenges those differences present. NIFF served as a platform and as an opportunity to showcase the voices of innovative filmmakers from across North America and around the world. The time has come to explore on a larger level the collective works of those who explore issues of faith, belief, ethics and values.

F estival presenters in New York City were selected from a mix of features, shorts, documentaries, animated projects and experimental films submitted by acclaimed filmmakers, cutting-edge artists, and emerging talents in the field.
