
Will Baker - Chief Executive Officer
Will brings twenty year's worth of experience in policy debate and nonprofit management to the IMPACT team. Previously, he served as the North Amercian Coordinator for the International Association of Religious Freedom (IARF) and currently is an Executive Bureau member for the Committee of Religious NGOs at the United Nations. He was the 1999 recipient of the Don Brownlee Award as the intercollegiate debate coach of the year. He runs Baker Consulting Services International and is a highly regarded nonprofit management consultant with a specialization in nonprofit advocacy and infrastructure development. Mr. Baker serves as a United Nations representative for IARF and is on the Board of Directors of the North American Interfaith Network. He teaches argumentation and debate in the Steinhardt School of Education at NYU and coaches their nationally-ranked policy debate team. Will is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and a former Assembly District Leader.
Emmanuel Villaneuva - General Manager
Emmanuel is a graduate of New York University with a degree in nutrition. He developed a comprehensive data management system used in tracking tournament results and ranks, novice and advanced student performance, teacher and alumni info as well as tournament and institute attendance. He is a former regional sales and training manager for a major recreational retailer.
Elizabeth Fitzgerald, Administrative Assistant
Elizabeth Fitzgerald handles the administrative needs of IMPACT. Beth is currently in the last phases of her college career at St. Joseph's College in Brooklyn. As a history major she is able to appreciate the subtle qualities that debate can bring out in people. Ms. Fitzgerald has worked as a fast food supervisor, volunteer teacher and account executive, her wide range of practical training helps her to adapt to all situations. As the child of a social worker and as a person who wants to be a social worker, a move into the nonprofit world seemed fitting.
Bridgette Cornwell, Webmaster and Contract Services Coordinator
Ms. Cornwell is an alumna of the University of Texas, a former policy debater, and a student at New York University School of Law. She majored in history with a focus on early modern Latin America and a concentration in biology.
Tamesha Coleman - Support Center Specialist
Tamesha Coleman is IMPACT's Support Center Specialist and an Americorps VISTA.
She has an extensive history in nonprofit service. Previously, Ms Coleman has worked at several nonprofits including the Jewish Guild for the Blind,
Visions Services for the Blind, and September,s Mission. She was also a corporate sales representative with the NY Yankees.
She holds a certificate in Dispute Resolution and is pursuing a degree in Deviant Behavior and Social Control from John Jay College.
Amber Kelsie - Team Services Officer
Ms. Kelsie holds a BA in African American Studies from Dartmouth College.
She is the former publicity chair for the Darfur Action Group and assisted
with fundraising activites for Doctors without Borders. She also held positions
as the Vice President and Philanthropy Chair for The Tabard. As founder
of the Diversity Hate Incident Peer Advising Organization, she opened up new
doors for the voices of those experiencing violence and bias crimes at Dartmouth.
Previously, she worked as a field organizer form ACORN in New Orleans and served
as a canvasser for State Senate campaigns.
Abigail Shechtman - College Access Coordinator
Ms. Shechtman graduated from Pomona College, a top 5 liberal arts
school in Claremont, California. She serves as the head Intellectual
Property paralegal at the law firm of Kasowitz, Benson, Torres &
Friedman and will be leading the expansion of IMPACT’s College
Management, Access and Assessment programming.
